| Abstract |
|
Normal human serum and tissue; except testis; show five lactate dehydrogenase isoenzymes on electrophoresis.
An unusual band on the cathodic side of LD5 isoezyme has been found on lcatate dehydrogenase electrophoresis of serum; called LD6; and the presence of which signifies a poor prognosis for the patients.
The authors experienced one case of LD6 extraband in 61-year-old female patient suffered from rheumatic heart disease combined with aortic stenosis and regurgitation; congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema. Cardiac arrest was noted within several hours after exhibition of LD6 extraband and she did not recover from her illness; so we report with brief review of literatures.
