Abstract
Unilateral condylar hyperplasia is rare condition that is associated with the condylar growth center. Growth and development are important in the formation of the deformity since compensatory growth attempts to minizmie the extent of the defomity. The type of deformity is related to the period of growth at which the maldevelopment occurs and it's magnitude. The case reported in this following was an 27 year old patient who had occlusally compensated mandibular asymmetry with unilateral condylar hyperplasia; surgical correction was performed by right subcondylar osteotomy ani coronoidotomy; C-sliding osteotomy in left ascending ramus and contouring of the bulged left mandibular body. We obtained good functional and esthetic results.
