Abstract |
We have experienced a case of verrucous carcinoma of the vagina that a 84-year old miUtigra-vida had a huge mass on the vagina with uterine prolapse, cystocele and rectocele.
The characteristic gross, microscopic and clinical features of verrucous carcinoma are presented.
It is a warty, fungating tumor that grow incidiously in size and pushes into contiguous structures, It's tendency for local recurrence and lack of distant metastasis would indicate that wide local excision is the treatment of choice.
This unusual type of female genital cancer has characteristic differences from other genital tract malignancy as a seperate clinicopathologic entity.
This is a report of verrucous carcinoma of the vagina with a brief review of the concerned
literatures.
