Abstract
Gastric cancer is second most common cancers and third leading cause of cancer death in Korea. Bone metastasis from gastric cancer occurs rarely and it has a poor prognosis. Bone metastasis diffusely invading the bone marrow with hematologic disorders such as disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC); microangiopathic hemolytic anemia is called disseminated carcinomatosis of the bone marrow and its overall incidence is rare. Here is a case of gastric cancer with multiple bone metastasis and hematologic disorder. Positron emission tomographycomputed tomography (PET-CT) and whole body bone scan shows disseminated bone metastasis. A biopsy of bone marrow shows infiltration by cancer cells.
