Abstract |
Castleman's disease is
histologically a kind of atypical lymph op roliferative disorders of unknown cause; characterized by massive proliferation of lymphoid tissue. Two histologic variations (hyaline-vaseular and plasma cell) and two clinical types (localized and multicentric) have been described. The author experienced 2 cases of Castleman's disease (hyaline-vascular; plasma cell). The first case was a 52 year-old female presented with a single lateral neck mass which was diagnosed as hyaline- vascular type by excisional biopsy. The second case was a 54 year-old male presented with both cervical; both axillary and left inguinal lymphadenopathy. The diagnosis of plasma cell type was confirmed by excisional biopsy of the right axillary nodes. The author reports herein the above two cases along with a review of pertinent literature. |
