2 Cases of Chronic Gastric Volvulus

Abstract
Gastric volvulus is an abnormal rotation of the stomach. Gastric volvulus may present as an emergency or as a chronic condition. Acut.e volvulus is [jotentiaily lethal if unrecognized; while a chronic volvulus may cause symptoms for years if not treated. Gastric volvulus may be more common than previously estimated. Approximately 700 cases have thus far been documenLcd; In patients with vague upper abdominal pain; bloating; vomiting; early satiety and weight loss; chronic gastric volvulus must be susperted.
